Tactical Firearms Training
The purpose of the Tactical Academy is to provide students with a solid foundation and exposure to the major elements of defensive tactical handgun usage and personal defense. Some students will already be conversant with some of the information in which case they will be able to reinforce and enhance their skill sets in these areas. For the more basic student, the Academy will follow a logical progression in which each session will build on the previous such that the student should be able to progress to a more advanced level of skill and knowledge during the course of the Academy.
Completion of the training offered in this Academy will not make the student an expert, however, it should provided the knowledge and skills necessary to progress to a high degree of expertise in time with additional disciplined and constructive training. The student should be aware that training is an ongoing process. No matter what level of skill attained, it should be understood that if the individual ceases training, the skills will begin to degrade almost immediately. We will routinely emphasize the need for training and the development of mental, psychological and muscle memory.
The Tactical Academy consists of 6 Sessions, each designed to address a different skill set. The Academy is led by Chief Instructor Bob Plyler and adjunct instructors David Plyler and Jon Plyler.
